GARUDA WISNU KENCANA

Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) cultural park -/+ 60ha area of cultural park located in Ungasan ,Badung Regency or about  10-15 minutes driving from Bali's  Ngurah Rai Airport ,
It was GWK  foundation who initiated the idea of the project back in 1992 with a vision of becoming the landmark of Bali's worldwide - known tourist destination.One of the founders of GWK Foundation, MR.I Nyoman Nuarta ,who is also the conceptor behind the iconic masterpiece,began to realize his grand idea by developing the existing  limstone hill through a combined land art approach with  a moden architectural landscape ,a long side a strong idealism to continuously align  the harmony  between  human ,environment and God the Almighty

Garuda bird is a bird from  the mythology,described  as habing abody of half-man and half-bird .This personal ride of God Vishnu symbolize loyalty,trusworthy ,and sacrifice .
Garuda is also a symbol of freedom from every shackleand deprivation of human rights.

Amphitheater

GWK amphitheatre  is a venue wiht platforms that can accomodate professional artists in presnting their  theatrical art it is a spacious outdoor stage,equipped with tribune for 800 audiences.Visitors will be entertained  with regular performances free of charge ( include in ricket admission).
They can watch various  cultural  performances  such as Balinese dances such as Barong ,Kecak and many other shows .
Amphitheatre is often used as a stage in arranging special  programs,such as farewell party for students,mini concert,musical performances and other occasions.
